Hi Mariane, thanks for your thoughts! You are right, art value correlates with the artist’s name. Although, I believe, it’s not the only factor driving it. To me it’s a lot about quality of the artwork (its effect on us) too. There are quite some emerging artists who are less known to a wider audience and who are yet incredibly talented.
